📕Just before I decided to quit my promising academic career of a lecturer of Business English, Presentation Skills, British Studies, and other subjects, at Tomas Bata University in Zlin, and relocate from the Czech Republic to the Balkans to spend more time being a full-time mother, translator, publisher, tourism & PR specialist, and recently a painter and poet, this video captures my very special guest in my British Studies lecture who talked on European Prehistory, which, if you notice, is strangely yet completely deleted from many curriculums of both history, art and culture study programmes and subjects. Rome, Greece, and the history of other colonisers seem to be the most popular and sometimes even presented as the earliest sunrise of art/culture, while the ancient roots of local territories seem to be something completely overlooked and even demonized. Equally the local wisdom seems to be on purpose replaced by the global/colonial ignorance. And yet, there are endless advanced ancient treasures which in their teachnological as well as artistic perfection surely outgrows our abilities today. It’s not only pyramids and tumuli which are to be found all around the planet, but also other yet not very uncovered and appreciated sacred complexes such as Daorson (Herzegovina) which is to be found in between two key towns of Herzegovina - Mostar and Trebinje. We see where our world, which is run by masculine principles (short-term gain, profit, control) is leading…? To an all-destroying conflicts, genocides, and wars… ? Wouldn’t it be a good idea to finally try and de-colonise our eyes, minds and hearts and open them to the local, the wise, the beautiful, the cooperative, the collaborative, the uniting…(the feminine principle)…? Does it sound naive to you? What if that is the only way to protect the last bits of humanity there where you are? Around the time of this lecture, I also received a surname Bohata which was carrying the empowering abundance of spending a lot of time in nature, working outdoor more often than inside the buildings, as well as devoting myself to people’s growth much more than piling up papers. That surname served me well for 8 years and now I officially and proudly changed it for my husband’s surname Čolić. Let’s see what life chapter I will be writing under this surname now…🫶😇For now it is all about SLAVIC OPERA...
